Graffiti is an Organic Expression

This organic expression of rage blossomed out of the streets of Minneapolis after the systematic murder of another black man.

Living on 38th and Chicago (GFS zone), WE HAVE SEEN a movement born out OF so many EMOTIONs, GRAFITTI being one of them. Our comrades used this radical expression to unite the masses and reclaim our communities’ stolen narratives, re-imagining better futures alongside compadres across the Dunia (globe). Their freeing and colorful art combats the virulent systems of oppression that white supremacy has entrenched in our society, those same systems which mark their craft as illegal under the guise of vandalism. 

THIS PROJECT IS TO DOCUMENT THE ART AS WELL AS EDUCATE FOLks ON THE HISTORY OF GRAFFITI IN MOVEMENTS. FROM TURTLE ISLAND TO EXARCHIA TO PALESTINE, THIS HAS BEEN A NECESSARY EXPRESSION OF EMOTION From rage to HEALING and everything in-between.
